Charleston Lindy Exchange 2010-There's No Place Like Home!
Yes! CHEX4 is almost here! May 13-16, 2010 will be another fun time in Charleston, SC!
Welcome to the official website for the Charleston Swing Dance Association's (CSDA's) fourth annual Charleston Lindy Exchange, CHEX4, being held from May 13-16, 2010 in Charleston, South Carolina. We're very excited to be hosting y'all again this year, and look forward to welcoming our lindy hop, balboa, and blues dancer friends and family back to Charleston in the year 2010!
IIn the immortal words of Dorothy, we'd like to repeat that "There's no place like home," and as such, we'd like to welcome you back again to our home in sunny Charleston, South Carolina. We could not believe how many of you made the Charleston Lindy Exchange 3 your first vacation of the summer of 2009, with many of you arriving on Thursday and staying until Monday or Tuesday. We even heard that one of you came to CHEX instead of attending your own college graduation. Wow, were so touched!
Well, we thoroughly enjoyed having you here last year and hope you feel like Charleston is becoming your new "home away from home."
We were so ecstatic about last year's exchange--what a blast! I don't know about you, but we still have fond memories of Goin' to Carolina's CHEX3. Who could forget the beautiful venues in downtown Charleston, West Ashley, and Mount Pleasant, the smell of BACON upon entering the late night dances on Friday and Saturday nights, sandy beaches, hot dogs, and friendly fun atmosphere at the afternoon dances, tacky tourist sensation, and AWESOME live music and dj's from all over the country! (just to name a few ;)
Well, we're back at it and can't wait to dance with you again at CHEX4, "There's No Place Like Home,"
We're bringing back some of your favorite dj's and venues, the Charleston competition, friendly atmosphere, good ol' Southern hospitality, and can we all say, "FOOD"?!
So, mark your calendars for May 13th-16th, 2010. We're totally psyched to host CHEX 4 and can't wait for everyone to say when they get here, "There's no place like home!"
We're going to have the Solomon Douglas Swingtet as well as a Blues room for Fri, Sat and Sunday nights.
May We Ask A Favor Of You?
