CHEX 6 Lindy In The Lowcountry

Welcome to the Charleston Swing Dance Association's website for the sixth Charleston Lindy Exchange, CHEX6, on May 17-20, 2012.  We're very excited to be hosting y'all again this year and look forward to welcoming our lindy hop, balboa, and blues dance family back to Charleston!

Last year's exchange was blast!  Who could forget...
  • the beautiful venues in downtown Charleston, West Ashley, and Mount Pleasant
  • the smell of BACON upon entering the late night Friday and Saturday dances
  • the sandy beaches, hot dogs, and fun afternoon dances
  • and the AWESOME live music and DJ's from all over the country!
  • Plus dancing at the skating rink!  (just to name a few ;)

Well, we're back at it and can't wait to dance with you again at CHEX6: "Lindy In The Lowcountry"

We're bringing back some of your favorite DJ's, venues, friendly atmosphere, good ol' Southern hospitality, and (of course) FOOD?! Plus we're having two beach days again on Saturday and Sunday!

So, mark your calendars for CHEX6 May 17-20, 2012.  

We Need Volunteers!

We have many amazing people working behind the scenes to help make CHEX a blast every year. We are looking for anyone wishing to help with CHEX6 next year. 

Areas we are looking for help with include:
  • Organizing, making and serving food and refreshments.
  • Assisting with scheduling volunteers
  • Assisting with registration.
  • Assisting with organizing housing for out-of-town guests.
  • Assisting with the planning committee.
  • Helping spread the word about CHEX regionally and nationally.
  • Assisting with sound set-up and break down.
  • Assisting with transporting supplies to events.
  • Assisting with website.
